I admit it - I'm utterly hooked on genealogy. I guess because it plays into my interest in history and the way people used to live; especially so when you have a few notable ancestors or two. Thanks to many notes in my mother's possession, numerous books on Chicago history and the internet (ancestry.com in particular) I've been able to assemble a fairly extensive tree of people descended from John Kinzie.
